This is a day off to explore Cairns, the focal point for the Great Barrier Reef and Rainforest tours. Getting ready for my three-day cruise to the Reef. Staying at the Oasis Resort with its own sandy beach, tropical gardens, lagoon style pool, and aqua-bar. Very easy to swim up to and where you can buy that very good Australian wine! Doing a lot of wine-ing on this trip!
I walked that 8km of beachfront , but need to walk 80 more to make up for the food fests in Rockhampton. Notice the series of exercise stations along the beach, about 10 of them over the 8km walk on the esplanade. Had a lovely swim in that beachside pool close to the yacht club.
